By policy, Atlantic is prohibited from moving certain things such as many household cleaning chemicals, fireworks, and guns.

Yes, your Atlantic representative can provide professional packing services to lift the stress of moving to a new place. Our packers are trained to work efficiently and use best practices to ensure your goods are ready to travel safely. If you prefer, you can do your own packing—or ask your Atlantic representative to create a custom pack option that fits your individual needs.

Who provides packing materials?

Atlantic uses professional grade packing materials to prepare your items for transport. We also provide these materials to you at competitive prices if you prefer to do your own packing.

Do I need moving insurance to cover my move?

Atlantic takes great care to prevent loss or damage to your goods. However, in the event something unforeseen should happen, we recommend Full Value Protection (FVP). Technically, it’s not insurance, it’s valuation coverage to assist with repairing or replacing anything that may be lost, damaged, or destroyed while in our care.

What payment methods does Atlantic accept?

Your Atlantic representative will help arrange payment before unloading at destination, or you may opt to pay at the time your goods are loaded onto the truck. You may pay with cash, credit card, or check (certified check, traveler’s check, bank check, or personal check is accepted with certain limitations).

How does Atlantic calculate the price for my move?

Atlantic determines the cost of your move based on the type of service provided. Generally, interstate and intrastate moves are based on weight and distance while local moves are performed on an hourly basis.

How long does it take to move?

The time it takes to move depends on several factors: the size of your move, where you are moving to, and the time of year. Talk to your Atlantic representative about your timing requirements.
